To ME..You are perfect~

Photobucket

To ME ...you are PERFECT~... words that most people love to hear. These are words that most partners not only wait to hear, but also tend to gauge their confidence level by. In saying that... for all of you partners out there that feel that they are at loss for words...here they are. Telling someone that they are perfect for you, means more to them than a box of candy or flowers.

These are what we deem as words with a thousand meanings. You are not just complimenting your partner, you are in-fact telling your partner in no uncertain terms that he/she is exactly what you want and who you would like to share your life with. In those few words, you are accepting them as they are, right there in front of you. On another note...these are the words that set you apart from any movie star.... because, they are real~

These words will more than not, take a relationship to a new and deeper level for many. I feel that the only other thing that can truly make a person feel good coming from another, is a smile.
As in any words to another person, it is vital to their trust in you, that you do not say them unless you mean them. The, saying that, 'actions speak louder than words', is totally overridden when it comes to these words in my mind.. as long as they are said with, sincerity and truth.

As human beings we are born with an innate need to better ourselves. We work very hard at pleasing someone, at one time or another along our journeys through life. Telling someone that they are perfect for you, is placing them on a unique and special plateau where only the two of you exist. This feeling of belonging is one of the most important and self-nourishing feelings we can experience from another. It really does not take a lot to make your partner feel good.. in saying these words, you cannot go wrong. It is one of the right steps towards a happy and healthy relationship.

After all....Is that not what we all strive for and dream of..?

I've never put much thought into those words, but I agree they can be very impactful in a relationship. No one is perfect but we can be perfect in another's eyes... And that's beautiful.

Not quite on topic, but I did not know where else to put it.

Men and women think, perceive, and react so differently to so much, it seems impossible to stop the inter-sex grief. However, it certainly can be diminished with knowledge, dialogue and understanding.

With Self-esteem, many of the major Men's and Women's magazines may cause more problems than they solve. The prerequisite articles on self empowerment are literally buried in the ads and glossy photos showing you a “casual” watch more expensive than your entire wardrobe, or the “essential” outfit that costs more than the car you are driving. Perfect looking models are at every turn as you try to find the remainder of the article that says it just ain't so.

I think that women, to generalize, are emotionally stronger and more communicative than men, and may stand a better chance of dealing with Self-esteem issues. I am a guy, but I'll tell you what has worked for me.... developing a separate “passion” outside of the other stuff.

Do something that you have always wanted to do, but have thought it was impossible or there was no time. Make it possible, make the time. Be realistic and start slow. As your passionate activity grows, so will your Self-esteem. No guarantees, but worth a try.

have a great day!

Dorothy, thank you so much for you blog, I always look forward to reading your posts! I was in a relationship with a guy, who I though was the love of my life. Little did I know, that he would drive me to my low self-esteem by telling me I was never good enough for him. It was so hard to get over our breakup, but I found comfort from sites like http://onlineceucredit.com/edu/social-work-ceus-sea to help me see the beauty in myself and be a confident woman once again.

You article Reminded me of song "Just the way you are" by Bruno mars . When you really love someone from Heart that person appears to be perfect to you.

That sounds very romantic and probably what most people would like to hear. That they are loved just the way they are. Let's face it things in life change. Body sizes, hair, hopefully mental growth. How wonderful to be accepted by your mate just the way you are.

Thanks Dorothy - no one is perfect and hearing a partner say these words to you, will have an impact on you and your relationship. I also think however, that it is just as important for us as individuals to think this about ourselves -as our own negative thoughts can has an enormous impact on our relationships. Thanks again for posting.

Hello Sarah... Absolutely, one must love themselves first and accept themselves unconditionally before they can begin to believe in how others feel about and/or see them. It is the only way to find that healthy long-lasting relationship between ourselves and our partner~
