Oh... to be in Love!

It is mysterious.. it is persuasive.. it is unseen.. but it is felt as if its weight is almost unbearable at times.

It is a feeling like no other.
It has an urgency & a direction that nothing or no one can derail.
It has an innate need and desire all at the same time that wraps your mind up so tight that you are left feeling like a spinning top once it begins to unravel.

Oh... to be in Love!
Its sensual feelings go so deep that you wonder if they will ever find bottom.
Your physical body works overtime trying to figure out what all of these chemicals are... that are racing around endlessly.
Your appetite changes from food to an insatiable hunger for Love.
Your entire world as you knew it gets put on hold.
You know no other language but the one written by this stranger growing inside of you... called 'Love'.

Oh... to be in Love!
It is a yearning and a burning that pulls you faster and faster towards something so very unknown, yet so very much desired.
It has evoked inside of you a sublime anticipation that would shake up the most docile creature.
It has become unshakable...you shiver as your body heats up and cools down at the slightest scent of this Love.
It's touch...so soft...so sweet...so gentle and yet at the same time so wild...so hot...so desirable and so passionate...again you shiver.

Oh... to be in Love!
Its sound, as it whispers to you.... draws you in deeper and deeper with its hypnotic persistence and beguiling voice.
It is relentless...it is chivalrous... it is deviously subtle... it leaves you feeling captivated in heavenly ecstasy.
Its unabated pleasure traps you...holds you and has you begging for more.
Your mind pleads for control...it reaches for air...yet continues to concede to its undeniable charm and its emotional warmth.

Love is most definitely unrequited & yet...
most definitely worth it!

D, you are such a sensitive and passionate writer. Love is often unrequited but the feelings are worth every ounce of heart you can give. What is life without taking some amount of risk, and loving someone always involves risk, doesn't it? Once you have it, there is no opiate which could compare, I'm sure. Thanks for the beauty of your thoughts...and heart.

Life without love is an empty life, which is almost not worth living.

Yes, I think love is worth it... (Nice writing!) sometimes. Being loved is so much better than loving. Well, I should probably just leave this subject alone since I haven't been feeling too loving lately. LOL.

Dor, to be in love is such a wonderful feeling! It's God's wonderful gift. "We love because God love us first."

Great post, to be in love is one of the most wonderful feelings there is, but it can make you and on the other hand it can also break you.

There is no deeper or tender feelings then loving someone and then to have them give it back is even better.

Beautifully written.

Hi Ms.D
There's a saying in my country that even cow's dung(eewww) tastes like chocolate when you're in love. Lols. (Provided that the person is already crazy enough to eat it in the first place, of course.)
Indeed, I believe that Love is one of two only things that can drive people to act irrationally (the other being hunger. People kill and be killed, cheat and be cheated, nations even wage war against each other (Ask Paris of Troy for detail, Ms D) in the name of Love.
And I must admit that there's no exact feeling one could possibly have that is tantamount to what one feels when she/he is in Love.
Words become a mere babble when one tries to describe it, to which I'm amazed of your ability to write it down so "closely". That was "CLOSE" Ms D, Lols (I can say that it is "EXACTLY", but, well, I don't want you to feel big-headed for it. Hahah)
Great post as usual Ms D. Cheers!

Yes, and I'm in love. :) That's the best thing in life, just don't count the pain when it fails. And yet, isn't it better to love and fail than never ever had loved and been loved? Well, I just quoted. lol.

Oh... to be inlove!

It's the greatest feeling on earth! Though it does hurts when love fails, still, we humans are the most fortunate to experience the power of love! There are many kinds of love, there are different levels of intensity of it as well. True love comes from God, and I am one blessed human being because of such gift!

Keep loving, even at the most unlovable circumstance. Without love, indeed, life doesn't have meaning!

I love this post of yours! There's much passion that I don't see at others! :) Thanks for sharing such a wonderful piece!
